Daniel Hulme

Position: Research Associate
Affiliation: UCL Computer Science
Daniel is the Founder and CEO of Satalia (NPComplete Ltd), a spin-out of UCL that provides a unique algorithmic technology and professional services to solve industries data-driven decision problems. He is passionate about emerging technology and regularly speaks at events with interests in Algorithms, Optimisation, Analytics, Big Data and the Future Internet.
 
Daniel has been awarded a Masters in Computer Science with Machine Learning and Doctorate in Computational Complexity from UCL. He has Senior Researcher and Teaching positions in Computer Science and Management Science at UCL. He is a Visiting Fellow of the Big Innovation Centre, reading Big Data and Policy, and also one of the founding members of the IMPACT team tasked with pioneering UCL’s impact initiatives.
 
Daniel has Advisory and Executive positions across world-wide companies in the area of Education, Analytics, Big Data, Data-driven Decision Making and Open-Innovation. He owns a small incubation space to help support and cultivate SME’s in London’s Zone 1. He holds an international Kauffman Global Entrepreneur Scholarship and actively promotes entrepreneurship and technology innovation in the UK and US.
