Peter Knight

Position: Deputy Director, Research Information and Intelligence
Affiliation: Department of Health

Peter is a Deputy Director, in the Research and Development Directorate at the Department of Health with responsibility for policy and delivery of research information, intelligence, finance/contracting and PPI/E.

Peter joined the Department in April 2010 having established the Research Capability Programme in 2008 that established a secure research data service (Clinical Practice Research Datalink) now operated by the MHRA.

Prior to this, Peter as a Managing Director and interim Chief Executive at Winchester and Eastleigh Health NHS Trust he helped put the NHS Trust on the map as one of the first to switch over to the NHS Care Records Service.
